Resolution of Round Table "Preservation of Human Right in Belarus"





1. To acknowledge the fact of systematic human rights violations of Belarusian nationals

2. To address the authorities with a demand to cease violation of rights of the Belarusian citizens for the freedom of conscience and bring the Law on the freedom of conscience and religious organizations in compliance with international norms.

3. To address the European structures, in particular the European Commission Rep Office in Belarus with a proposal to organize round table on the freedom of conscience with the participation of representatives of various churches, society and the government.

4. To call upon the Belarusian authorities to revise their decision on the case of the “New Life” church (http://www.newlife.by/en/news.php) and leave the building to the believers, so that they could benefit from their constitutional right for the freedom of faith.

5. To urge the Belarusian society and international community to express solidarity with the “New Life” church and those, who face persecution from the freedom of conscience abuses in Belarus.
